History :- Industrial Training Institute for Physically Handicapped was established in the Govt. Polytechnic campus Sundernagar in the year 1984 to provide vocational Training to person with disability under NCVT with two trades namely Draughtsman Civil and Mech. Radio & T.V having intake of 6 trainees in each trade & 2 more trades namely Hand compositor & Electronic Mechanic were added in 1985. The ITI further strengthened in year 1986 with one more trade i.e Printing & Book binding having intake of 6 trainees . The Printing & Book binding trade got discontinued in the year 2001 due to poor admissions . Now the admission in all trades are continued with intake of 21 per trainees as per NCVT norms . In case of non availability of person with disability general category candidates are also considered for admission to utilize the training infrastructure properly .
